About Redemption-Guild.org! |
About the Name
Redemption: salvation, the act of delivering from sin or saving from evil.
About the Guild
Redemption is an alliance guild on the Lothar server. We are committed to having
fun with WoW. So it is important to take note that you MUST have a sense of
humor and be easy going to be a part of Redemption. Also,
please keep in mind that the guild chat is rated PG-13.
Redemption believes each member is as important as the next.
We encourage you to help one another when possible.
Redemption is geared toward inviting new players to the
guild and raising them up. So don't be discouraged if you
see a lot of low level players in the guild.
People come to play Wow to enjoy themselves and as such the following behaviors
are not tolerated.
Offensive/Abusive language in public channels and guild chat
Repeated spamming in public channels (Including guild chat)
Ninja Looting (by ninja looting we mean intentionally taking items in a group
setting, when your group mates wish to roll on them and/or looting a bind on
acquire item without checking to see if anyone else wants to roll)
Corpse camping in PvP situations.
Raid Attendance
We encourage all guild members to raid along with us, but we understand too that
different people have different ideas on what is fun within an MMORPG, therefore
we have decided to not make raid attendance mandatory, but will be instituted an RPP System to reward those members who choose to raid with us on a regular
basis.
New Members
After applying to Redemption, you will be bestowed the rank of Initiate. This
means for the next 10 days we get to see what you're all about, how you act,
behave, speak etc. Think of the time spent as an Initiate as a trial. You get to
try us out, and see if you want Redemption to be your home. At the end of this
trial period, we review forum posts about you and decide your fate (It's not as
dramatic as it sounds.) We have 3 options open to us, Invite, Extend, or Deny.
If we choose to extend your initiation period, it'll be for another 10 days. We
have a total maximum of 30 days that initiates will stay with us. After the 30
days, we will choose to Invite or Deny. If you are accepted, you will then move
up to the rank of member.
Please note-- There is a forum for members to discuss applicants in the private
forums. All threads pertaining to an applicant will be sealed (moved to an
officer's only archive forum) upon the applicant becoming a full member. Also
keep in mind that we have the ability to end your trial membership early should
we feel that your values do not reflect our own.
Disciplinary Actions
If, as a member of Redemption, you feel that the guild or a particular guild
member has treated you in an unfair manner, please use the in-game mail system
and contact a guild officer. He or she will then evaluate the situation. The
consensus of the officers at this point will be the final, binding decision.
In Redemption, we operate on a 3 strikes and you're out policy. If a member is
acting inappropriately, there will be only 1 warning, and then we will move to
strikes. As a Redemption member, you are subject to the general rules outlined
in this charter.
A warning is a defined as a private discussion about the problem with an
officer/guild leader, under the assumption that the member may not have realized
that what was done/said was inappropriate.
A strike is defined as an official reprimand from an officer/guild leader about
inappropriate actions.
Strikes will be removed from a members record after a period of 1 year. (They
will remain archived in the officers forum indefinitely)
